A year ago, we announced our new business strategy, together with the ESG agenda, which represents its key component. Since then, we have introduced to our offer new banking products and services, which help reduce the negative impact on the environment. They reduce CO2 emissions as well as plastics and paper use. We checked how often you take advantage of this "green" offer.

Half a million of recycled cards
We are gradually switching to issuing payment cards made of recycled plastic. There are already half a million of them in your wallets. They are composed in 85% from recycled waste material. Thanks to this, together with you, we have already prevented the production of more than additional 2 tons of plastic. Next year, we plan to issue cards that will be made entirely from recycled materials. At the same time, we are gradually expanding the offer of cards issued only in digital form, such as, for example, our Mobile Mastercard.

PLN 300 million in eco-mortgages
Since December 2021, we have granted over 500 eco-mortgage loans worth more than PLN 300 million. We reduce the margin by 1.05 percentage points and do not charge a commission if the loan finances a residential property that meets high energy efficiency standards.

700 kg less paper thanks to digital bill opening
Thanks to remote opening of accounts in corporate banking, together with you we have already saved 145,920 sheets, i.e. 292 reams of paper. Our fully digital process allows the largest companies to sign a contract with us remotely. Less paper means not only more trees saved, but also less water used in its production and lower greenhouse gas emissions related to courier shipments or your trips to bank branches.

Our products and financial services that support eco-goals are marked with a green leaf symbol. For you, it is a sign that by choosing these products you are contributing to environmental protection. Our green leaf has three varieties: "less CO2", "less paper" and "less plastic". In order for a service or a product to be marked with it, it must meet certain criteria.
